Our Beautiful Garden at Hazelwood

As we begin to approach the warmer months, we have started to get the garden ready for all of our upcoming outdoor activities and events.

In the last month, work has progressed in getting our garden summer-ready! Wilfredo, our Maintenance Co-ordinator, has been spending time expanding our much-loved pond so that our residents have a better view from the patio. Our pond is extremely popular with our residents, as it provides a tranquil area where they can go and sit peacefully, admire the wildlife and listen to the water feature. Our staff always goes above and beyond to ensure that our resident's needs are exceeded, and this is a great example of the extra mile we are willing to go for them. Thank you Wilfredo!

We work hard to ensure that our garden is a beautiful environment that our residents want to go to to get fresh air, some vitamin D and also invite their relatives to enjoy too. In recent weeks we have given our outdoor spaces a revamp and pop of colour, as we have planted many flowers, including around 50 roses! Our flower beds and hanging baskets have had a great addition of blooms and residents really enjoy looking at them and identifying the varieties.

Residents and staff have already started to make use of our spruced up gardens, as the recent warm weather was perfect for a BBQ. As the sun was shining, our Home Manager, George and Wilfredo put on a wonderful spread of food and drink, and residents gathered in their sun hats to listen to music and share great conversation. A brilliant afternoon was had by all.
