Hazelwood Care Home Gets Festive

resident decorating christmas tree

The residents, relatives and, staff at Hazelwood Care Home have had an incredibly festive December, from decorating the tree and receiving presents, to giving toys to our local Community Cupboard Christmas appeal.

We started off our festivities by decorating the home ready for the Christmas season, and residents were only too happy to get involved.

For many, Christmas time evokes many happy and special memories shared with family, and decorating the tree is a tradition that many of our residents share. It's important to us to ensure residents are able to continue with their traditions, which is an important part of reminiscence.

It was great to see so many of our residents get involved and the joy that participating in the decorating brought them.

Our residents are at the heart of everything we do here at Hazelwood Care Home, and our team went above and beyond to ensure that they all had a wonderfully special Christmas. Our staff even dressed up to deliver Christmas gifts to each and every resident.

We recognise that Christmas is also a time for giving so we were delighted with the amount of toys we collected for the Community Cupboard Christmas toy appeal this year, and we would like to thank all those who contribute and donated to this very worthy cause.

We wish all of our residents, staff, friends, family and members of our local community a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
