An Afternoon Of Music And Memories At Hazelwood Care Home

Residents at Hazelwood Care Home in Longfield enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of live music when entertainer Josh Antony visited the home for the first time.

With the sun shining, residents gathered in the garden to enjoy an afternoon of familiar songs from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Josh brought plenty of energy and warmth to his performance, creating a lively atmosphere that had residents singing along, dancing and sharing smiles with friends and members of the team.

Music is an important part of the activities programme at Hazelwood, offering residents an opportunity to enjoy familiar songs while spending time together. Well-loved music can also bring back memories from different stages of life, often prompting conversations about favourite artists, dancing, family occasions and other special moments from the past.

It was particularly lovely to see so many residents getting involved throughout the afternoon. Some chose to sing along from their seats, while others took to the floor to enjoy a dance. The relaxed garden setting made the occasion even more enjoyable, allowing everyone to make the most of the sunshine while listening to live entertainment.

As a new performer at Hazelwood, Josh made a fantastic first impression, and his visit proved to be a great addition to the home's programme of activities and entertainment. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and are already looking forward to hopefully welcoming him back in the future.
