Hazelwood Care Home Celebrates the Opening of The Secret Garden
One of our proudest moments of the season at Hazelwood Care Home was the official opening of our beautiful Secret Garden. The special day brought together residents, families, staff and members of the local community to celebrate this wonderful new outdoor space for the very first time.
A Peaceful Space for Residents
Designed as a calm and welcoming place, the Secret Garden is already becoming a much-loved part of the home. It offers residents the chance to relax and spend time enjoying nature with one another in a setting that has been carefully created with well-being in mind.
Although a few finishing touches are still to come, the garden is already showing how valuable it will be for everyday life at Hazelwood. We are excited to see it used for quiet moments and future celebrations throughout the seasons ahead.
A Fun Filled Day to Remember
The opening celebrations were made even more special by a delicious barbecue prepared by our talented kitchen team alongside Wilfredo. Residents also enjoyed fantastic live entertainment from Liam, whose performance proved so popular that many people were already asking when he might return for another visit.
It was lovely to see so many smiles throughout the day, with residents and guests enjoying the chance to come together and mark the occasion. The atmosphere was warm and full of appreciation for the hard work that had gone into bringing the Secret Garden to life.
Community and Connection
Visitors and staff also had the opportunity to experience the Dementia Tour Bus during the event, helping to build a greater understanding of what living with dementia can be like. It was encouraging to see so many members of the community joining us and supporting such an important day for the home.
