February at Hazelwood Care Home was full of fun and laughter, with an array of activities and celebrations happening within the home.

Valentine's Day

We like to celebrate all occasions here at Hazelwood Care Home, big or small, and Valentine's Day is no different. We like to spread love and happiness within our home at all times of the year, but on Valentine's Day, we went the extra mile to make our residents feel loved.

Our residents had a lovely Valentine's Day, which included being serenaded by a singer who came to the home and got residents involved in a bit of singing and dancing. Residents also got to enjoy cupcakes as a special afternoon treat and spent time laughing and chatting away with one another.

Pancake Day

We could not let Pancake Day go by without enjoying the delicious treat here ourselves at Hazelwood Care Home. Our catering team did a fantastic job at whipping up some pancakes for everyone at the home, and both residents and staff very much enjoyed choosing their toppings and tucking in.

Music for Health

At Hazelwood Care Home, we believe in caring for both our resident's physical and mental health. We think it's important to look after the body and mind, and our Music for Health activities are a great way to do just that.

The sessions encourage residents to get moving, and through the use of instruments and music, residents are left feeling energised, stimulated and feeling happy.

If you would like to find out more about what life at Hazelwood Care Home in Longfield can offer you or your loved one, then please don't hesitate to get in touch with our friendly team who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
