Mother’s Day Celebration at Hazelwood Care Home

At Hazelwood Care Home, we celebrated Mother’s Day in a truly special way, inviting residents’ families to join their loved ones for a memorable breakfast. The event, held in our Private Dining Area, was a beautiful way for residents and their families to come together, enjoying a delicious meal in a warm and festive atmosphere.

The Mother’s Day Breakfast allowed residents to start the day with a thoughtful gesture, creating lasting memories with their relatives before they went on to spend the rest of the day with other plans. The morning was filled with love, laughter, and delightful conversation, making it a perfect way to celebrate the occasion.

Leading up to the celebration, residents took part in a creative and fun activity with our dedicated Activity Team. They crafted colourful flowers, which added a personal touch to the event and allowed residents to express their artistic flair. The activity not only brought joy and creativity to the day but also allowed our residents to take part in something meaningful and interactive, contributing to the Mother’s Day celebration in a heartfelt way.

The celebration was more than just a breakfast; it was an opportunity for our residents to bond with their loved ones, strengthening connections and creating a sense of community within Hazelwood. These moments of togetherness are an important part of life at our care home, and we strive to make every event memorable for both residents and their families.

Employee of the Month – March 2025

We are also thrilled to announce that the Employee of the Month award for March 2025 has been presented to Sue, a valued member of our Activity Team. Sue received multiple nominations from both staff and relatives for her dedication, passion, and kindness. She consistently goes above and beyond, even volunteering her own time to ensure our events are a success. Sue’s presence at the Mother’s Day Breakfast was especially appreciated, where she hosted the event. We’re incredibly proud to have Sue as part of our team.
