We are proud of our all-inclusive, luxury home where every resident has equal access to all of Hazelwood’s amenities, activities, and care services. Hazelwood Care Home has something for everyone, whether it’s a library stocked with books, afternoon tea, or an afternoon pamper in our salon.

We prioritise providing a varied range of amenities and opportunities that enable our residents to enjoy their lives to the fullest. From film afternoons to gardening activities, our amenities have been carefully selected to provide our residents with a lifestyle rich in variety and choice.

Homely Bedrooms

At Hazelwood Care Home, we provide bedrooms for up 50 residents, each attractively decorated and fitted with an en-suite basin and WC. The décor and furniture are intended to provide a homely feel. Our bedrooms are equipped with everything our residents require, including furniture, Wi-Fi, central heating, and a television, all of which are designed to provide optimum comfort and relaxation. Residents are welcome to have visitors in their rooms, and we encourage them to bring any of their favourite personal items or furnishings that will help them feel at ease.

Dining

At Hazelwood Care Home, we want our residents to have access to the finer things in life, such as an incredible dining experience. Dining with us guarantees an elegant atmosphere and delectable cuisine produced by our in-house chef. Our culinary staff are glad to provide a continually changing menu made up of high-quality ingredients sourced locally. We are happy to accommodate dietary preferences and requirements; what sets us apart is that we support residents’ personal preference and choices so that everyone is satisfied.

Arts & Crafts

We want all of our residents to feel comfortable trying new things in a secure and supervised setting, allowing them to lead an active and vibrant lifestyle. All of our arts and crafts programmes are tailored to the interests of our residents, with the purpose of inspiring and motivating everyone who participates. We urge residents to let their creative side shine and have a good time doing activities such as painting, drawing, creating seasonal displays and paper crafts.

Varied Activities Programme

We have an Activities Coordinator who is dedicated to creating fun and stimulating entertainment through a weekly activity programme for our residents. Whether it’s bringing entertainers to our home such as musicians or therapy pets or partaking in sing-a-longs, quizzes, film days or baking, there’s always something interesting going on at Hazelwood Care Home in Dartford, and we are open to taking suggestions from residents.

Sensory Room & Garden

Our home has a large outdoor space featuring a patio with dining furniture and a pond where fish can often be seen swimming around. Our garden is well-equipped for all types of outdoor activities, including exercise, gardening, and outdoor dining. We also have a Sensory Room inside the home, which as the name would suggest, helps an individual to develop their sensory skills through special lighting, sound and objects. This room provides a calming atmosphere and is beneficial for those living with a sensory impairment or dementia.

Beauty Salon

Our fantastic Beauty Salon is a great place for our residents to relax and feel rejuvenated. We offer a comprehensive range of hair services and treatments, from hair washes, to hair cuts and blow drys; your hair is sure to be in good health, and for you to feel your best. At Hazelwood Care Home, we have everything for our residents to radiate self-confidence. Hairdressing is an additional charge.

Our Library is well-stocked with classic and contemporary literature, and the perfect spot for residents to spend some quiet time in a cosy setting getting lost in the adventure of a good book. Our Library is outfitted with comfortable armchairs and coffee tables, so there’s plenty of space to enjoy a snack and a cup of tea while reading a book or newspaper.

Our purpose-built cinema is ideal for our residents to relax and escape from the real world for a few hours. We are thrilled to be able to bring the pleasures the cinema brings to our residents, complete with comfortable armchairs, a large screen, popcorn, and refreshments. Our extensive variety of films spans a wide range of genres, ensuring that no matter what kind of film our residents enjoy, there is something suitable for everyone.
