Making New Friends This Autumn

As the leaves started to fall from the trees around our home, our Activities Team took the opportunity to use the leaves for a fun afternoon! They decided to collect some of the leaves from around our private gardens and get the residents to make leaf characters. It was brilliant to watch the characters come to life and see what names our residents came up with for them.

For this activity, we teamed up with both the Primrose and Poppy Unit and all of our residents loved getting to spend time with the people from the opposite unit, creating a strong feeling of community at Hazelwood Care Home.

It was so heartwarming to sit and bring out everyone's creativity in such a simple and light-hearted manner. Our residents had a great time picking out different coloured leaves and using our pens to bring their new friends to life.
