A Summer Holiday Panto
With the lack of sunny weather, we thought we would bring a summer holiday to our residents here at Hazelwood Care Home in Longfield, Kent.
One of our entertainment providers, Hannah, joined us to take our residents on a tour of the world, which combined themed outfits and music and resulted in a lot of smiles and laughter from our residents.
It is important to us that we ensure our residents here at Hazelwood Care Home always have something to look forward to, and that the activities they participate in are engaging and stimulating.
When the weather allows, we try to get our residents out and about in our garden or the local community of Longfield, but on gloomier days we make the most of the exceptional facilities we have to offer, and our activities team have a variety of activities and therapies that are residents can take part in.
This pantomime organised by our activities team proved to be really successful, as it was a wonderful way for residents to bond over the enjoyment of music and it really supported both their physical and mental wellbeing.
Not only was it great for socialising and overall wellbeing, but it was also a fantastic form of reminiscence. The pantomime brought back many happy memories of holidays and summertime fun and they all had a sing-along too.
